Here you will find everything Bisley ever did... and then some !! I used my own collection of Biz stuff to do it, along with a few magazines, websites, and everything I could, basically, to provide the most extensive biography on all things Bisley. I don't know where and when some of these have been published or used, and I'm sure I forgot many things. So, please, if you want this to be the ultimate Bisley's biography,
let me know when you see something that's not in here!
The man is a real mercenary, he worked for everybody in the comic biz (no pun intended), and it's almost impossible to own all this stuff. But I'm trying to! Most of this stuff below I own, but some I look for, see by yourselves in the
WANTED section.

For each item, I mentionned (in blue) which kind of artwork can be found. Bisley only did painted covers for many of those items below. "ink" means that Bisley drew everything, then inked himself, in a story (not including the cover, except when mentionned); his art was then colorized ("B&W" means it wasn't colorized and remains black & white inking only).
As for the years, I chose the actual year when the art was done (often hand-written by Biz himself on covers), and if not known, the year when it was first published. Most second printings are mentionned. If there's a whole story featuring Bisley art, I mentionned the writer too. When something is
written in yellow, that means there's still some "mistery" about this item, and I hope you'll help me out solving it ! Here goes...

- 1988: "A.B.C. Warriors: The Black Hole" (2000 AD) Volumes 3 & 4. Writer: Pat Mills. Artist (B&W inks & painted covers): Simon Bisley (other artist: SMS, for a few pages). Second edition (trade paperback) published in August 1991 (Titan Books).
- 1989:
"Slaine The Horned God" (2000 A.D. & Fleetway). Writer: Pat Mills. Artist (mostly painted art & painted covers): Simon Bisley. Oddly enough, the French edition was published before the English edition.
- 1989:
"Clive Barker's Hellraiser" trade paperback (Epic comics). Painted cover.
- 1989:
"Blade Warrior" video game (Image Works). Painted image.
- 1989
?: "Speedball 2" video game (Image Works). Painted image. Note: As I can't see any "signature" on this picture, I can't be positive Bisley did it. It definitely looks like he did it, though. I'm not sure about the year, too.
- 1990:
"Gods" video game illustration (Bitmap Brothers/Renegade). Painted image.
- 1990:
"Dark Future (Route 666)" by David Pringle (GW Books,). I think he painted the cover of that book.
- 1990:
"Doom Patrol" (D.C.). Painted covers. He painted issues #26 to 48, then issue #55 to 58. This took about 2 years. He also did #50's "half cover" (painted) and a pin-up inside (ink).
- 1990:
"Swamp Thing" (D.C.). Painted covers ?. I know he painted covers for this comic book, but I don't know which issues.
- 1990:
"Lobo, the last Czarnian" #1,2,3,4 (D.C.). Writers: Keith Giffen & Alan Grant. Artis (4 painted covers and ink): Simon Bisley.
- 1991:
"Lobo, the last Czarnian" trade paperback (D.C.). New painted cover, and 3 pages of original sketches.
- 1991:
"Judge Dredd" (Fleetway). Eight 8-pages stories, all painted art, and a few painted pin-ups/covers. As I only own a trade paperback of those, I'm not sure about the year and the original release. I know it was published in a Metal music magazine called Rock Power.
- 1991:
"Lobo's Greatest Hits" trade paperback (D.C.). Painted cover.
- 1991:
"Lobo paramilitary Christmas special" (D.C.). Writers: Keith Giffen & Alan Grant. Artist (inked cover and ink): Simon Bisley.

- 1991:
"The Demon" #12 (D.C.). Painted cover.
- 1991:
"Harvest Of Evil" (Marvel). Painted promotionnal poster. I don't know if this piece is a cover of any comic book ; it's for a Marvel special event.
- 1991:
"Knights Of Pendragon" (Marvel). Painted promotionnal poster. I don't know if this piece is a cover of any comic book .
- 1991:
"Terminator : the enemy within" #1,2,3,4 (Dark Horse). 4 painted covers.
- 1992:
"Terminator : the enemy within" Trade paperback (Dark Horse). 1 new painted cover.
- 1992:
"Aliens" (Dark Horse). Painted cover. Contains one 8-pages story, writer : John Arcudy, artist (painted art): Simon Bisley. A limited "platinum" edition of this comics was released.
- 1992:
"Lobo's back" #1,2,3 (D.C.). Writers: Keith Giffen & Alan Grant. Artist (ink): Simon Bisley. The 2 first covers were painted by Bisley, and the first issue actually has 2 extra covers in it; it was also sold with a "bite me fanboy" badge. It's interesting to know that Biz was unable to draw the 4th issue due to a motorbike accident or something.
- 1992:
"Grendel: War Child" #1,2,3,4 (Dark Horse). 4 painted covers.
- 1992:
"Tarzan the warrior" #1 (Malibu). Painted cover.
- 1992:
"Punisher summer special" #2 (Marvel). Painted cover.

DANZIG, "Thrall-demonsweatlive" CD. Painted cover.
- 1992
?: "Mr Monster" (?). 1 painted pin-up and one 6-pages story (painted artwork. Writer: Michael T. Gilbert). I don't know where this story was originally printed and wether there are more of those or not. I own a translation of it in a magazine.
- 1992/1993:
"Monster Massacre" (Atomeka). Painted cover. This book features various stories by various artists/writers. Among those is "Maximum Force"; writer: Dave Elliott. Artist (ink): Simon Bisley. A "Silver edition" of this comics was released, featuring a new silver and black cover by Bisley.
